Hi there 👋 I'm Yanzy.
As a UX designer/researcher with an HCI background from the University of Washington and 4+ years of industry experience, I have a passion for crafting narratives, blending form and function, and creating previously unimagined realities.
Throughout my career, I've successfully contributed to the design of comprehensive products across diverse areas like AI, SaaS, internal tools, educational apps, and more. While my journey has solidified my expertise in UX/UI design, user research, and visual design, I thrive on pushing boundaries, continuously seeking opportunities to pioneer the next groundbreaking solution.
My journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, where I looked to architecture as a mechanism for reading human behaviors in order to generate user-centric design. The well-thought-out design process then became habitual, which greatly benefited me as a product designer. My design methodology focuses on a process entailing communication, analysis, and speculation. This fascination is explored across works that combine analog and digital media, two- and three-dimensional components, and an emphasis on inclusive design practices.
I believe...
The solution doesn't come from nothing to something; it comes from everything to something. No matter where I am in the product development cycle, the goal is to identify and align on the key questions we need to answer. We can uncover new questions by exploring possible solutions and approaches. The more opposing solutions and the deeper the exploration, the more concise the questions, the narrower the answers. Understanding "why this and not that" leads to the formulation of a strategy.
